And then a hero comes along...

In the words of a singer who starred in the cinematic classic Glitter and who also goes by the initials MC...

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on

And you cast your fears aside

And you know you can survive

I think we ALL know who Mariah Carey was referring to:

It's hard to be a football genius AND a king amongst men but hero-Jeff makes it all look so easy.

Jeff's dignity and ability to be quiet and unnoticed has shone in light of behaviour exhibited by certain other Wally Woofter Footballers, which makes his return all the more satisfying and worth gloating about. Because we are very mature, we will take more joy in watching Jeff's seamless return to the side, than schadenfreude at watching that other team as it disintegrates without "The Gear". Maybe.

While I'd like to flatter myself in thinking I am 'mature,' alas, I am not and therefore I embrace every opportunity to gloat at the Wally Woofters.

Yeah, anyone who assaults a bouncer at Paramount and beats his girlfriend is a real hero in my books. Go Jeff.

Yes there are bad points to Jeff - which we have all been made well aware of courtesy of every Eagle-loving media outlet in Perth.

I suggest you read this article for a (rare) different perspective on him:
